This past weekend, my son and I went to Killeen, Texas for a TX RBA show Friday night and Saturday all day. We had a wonderful experience seeing our friends at the show. I had two angoras to show and received good comments. Overall, my two good friends, Caylie and Kelly took the high places. I was so glad for them as they truly have awesome rabbits, too.
The show venue was large, and very inviting. What was most excellent was the concession stand, which had very reasonable priced food and excellent soup. I later found out that TX RBA and 4H club get together, bring goodies and sell them reasonably, which is not always the case in other venues. Overall, this was very nice.
I got to take my spinning wheel and spun some alpaca fiber for a change. I am spinning yarn to use as warp for my weaving loom and will use angora yarn as weft.
Needless to say, I was plagued with horrific allergies and my eyes were burning. However, I managed to have a wonderful time at the show along my friends. Can't wait till we all meet again at the next show. Hopefully, I will make it to the show in February.
